'Lucky Deluxe' aka Susanna Lee, a national touring comedian and burlesque performer comes through town March 2011, be there!
Lucky Deluxe (named by Miss Frankie Tease the 'May West of the Mid West') has recently relocated successfully to Los Angeles in 2011... the better for Portlander's to have her more often.
This burlesque and comedy star is an actress, entrepreneur, burlesque dancer, physical comedian, spoken word artist, nationally touring stand-up comedian and an amazing witty-as-hell writer. The pin-up talent is going to keep Portland very entertained Mar. 23 - 27 with a week-long run at Harvey's Comedy Club, and will grace the stages of Miss Frankie Tease twice during March, here is a preview of when and where.

Saturday March 27th 1-3pm Susanna Lee aka Lucky Deluxe will be featured at LIVE ART for her Burlesque Pin-Up model session. Come to Backspace (115 NW 5th ave.) and draw or photograph this stunning brunette. Her smile and curves are the subject of art for two hours. Any age welcome. $10 fee to participate, staring is free, kids draw free.

Susanna Lee is a notable figure with a very noticeable one. Whether it’s her retro pin-up style, or the engaging charm of her stage personae, she is often found in the center of attention (often located at the far end of the bar). Calling to mind a modern-day Mae West, she clearly speaks her mind, tickling her audience with a combination of sharp-wit and teasing sensuality. Having successfully integrated burlesque routines into her standup stage show, this lovely lady brings a bevy of sass and seduction to every performance. She’s been described as “a cross between June Cleaver and Columbia from Rocky Horror, with the vernacular of a stevedore."
From television appearances on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing 7” (2010), “Beverly Hills Brides” (2011), and the Oxygen Network’s “Girls Behaving Badly” (2004), to being published as a columnist for UnCovered Magazine (2004-5) and KC Confidential (2010), Susanna Lee shares her talents in a variety of entertainment genres. She has been featured in a number of performing arts festivals, including the Chicago Comedy Festival (1999, 2000), the Coney Island Rockabilly Festival (2008), the Bud Light Ladies Of Laughter Tour (2000), the Show-Me Burlesque Festival (2010), the Colorado Burlesque Fest (2010), the Bend Comedy Festival (2004) and the Kansas City Fringe Festival (2007,8,9,10). She has participated in the Seattle International Comedy Competition (2004), the San Francisco Comedy Competition (2010), and was the only female finalist ever in the Portland Comedy Competition (2004, 5). She has done character voice work for the nationally syndicated radio show “Mancow’s Morning Madhouse: The Free Speech Radio Network” (2000, 01). Working the road as a standup comic since 1996, Susanna Lee has also performed at many comedy clubs, bars, bowling alleys and juke joints as well, lists and references available upon request.
